In this course we will continue to layer your personal learnings from Core Course Three with more demonstrations and hands-on practice. You will learn more about scar tissue and genital de-armouring\, sensual massage\, internal and external anal mapping and massage\, erotic massage dancing and Ecstatic Erotic Massage. You will deepen your understanding and skills in working with trauma\, develop session arcs and plans for clients presenting with common sexual concerns\, and have opportunities to practice facilitating somatic sex education in groups. We support each other in finding and articulating what somatic sex education means to each one of us\, and building marketing materials for our unique practices.

They will learn about how we somatize oppression and privilege\, and practice technologies for unwinding some of these bonds. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe will work to create intentional\, professional\, erotic learning space. We practice using procedures that demonstrate professionalism\, including intake and assessment. We discuss and offer diverse frameworks for ethical somatic sex education. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe cultivate capacity to feel and communicate body sensations as we increase our somatic literacy\, developing a repertoire of embodiment practices we can use and share with clients. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe course includes a deeper dive into the science of somatic sex education and interpersonal neurobiology. The science of sexual happiness helps give language to the learning process\, so we understand challenges and opportunities for expanded wellness. Knowing and sharing the science can help take shame away as we work with clients\, and support each person in working and playing in their personal learning zone. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe intensive includes teaching in the somatic sex education core tool of Masturbation Coaching. We have an opportunity to explore the possibility of communal Mindful Erotic Practice\, always within our personal learning zones. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe will have a chance to further explore genital anatomy and practice Genital Mapping. We will introduce the core tools of Affirmative Ritual Touch and Erotic Massage\, while demonstrating how these tools can be integrated into somatic sex education sessions\, whether offered in-person or online. DESCRIPTION:In this three month training you will learn and practice skills and tools for leading and co-leading workshops\, rituals\, retreats\, ongoing groups\, professional development seminars and ceremonies\, both online and in-person. You will leave with more confidence in bringing somatic sex education to groups of people in joyful\, engaging and life changing ways.  You will gain skills for regulating your nervous system while facilitating\, get one-on-one facilitation coaching on your personal goals/intentions\, deepen your anti-oppression and liberation facilitation lens\, and more. The training consists of six\, four-hour-long online workshops two Saturdays per month\, February 13 – April 24th 2021\, and six rich modules of generative curriculum.

DESCRIPTION:Students must first complete Foundations of Somatic Sex Education online. \nThis is the first of two required in-person intensives. We will begin with creating a “safe enough” container for the cohort to develop skills and comfort with facilitating each other in somatic practice\, and feeling into intentional\, professional\, erotic practice space. Business and personal practices that demonstrate professionalism are discussed. We cultivate capacity to feel and communicate body sensations as we increase our somatic literacy. This course includes a deeper dive into the science of somatic sex education\, interpersonal neurobiology\, and the methodology of communal erotic practices. \n\n\n\n\n\nStudents practice intake and assessment\, ethical frameworks for somatic sex education\, mindful erotic practice\, masturbation witnessing and coaching\, genital anatomy and genital mapping\, plus sensual and erotic massage. All activities are done through the lens of empowering choice and voice. \n\n\n\n\n\nStudents will expand their embodied understanding of social locationality. They will learn about how we somatize oppression and privilege\, and practice somatic technologies for unwinding it all. This course focuses on our own erotic and somatic journey as foundational for developing a professional practice as a somatic sex educator.

SUMMARY:Options for Sexual Health -Human sexuality training:  SAR (Sexual Attitude Reassessment)
DESCRIPTION:SAR (Sexual Attitude Reassessment): Building Competence\n3½ days | Cost: $625 for participant or $575 for existing Opt members \n\nThis program uses the Sexual Attitudes Reassessment (SAR) process and is based on the program developed by the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality.\nApplicants to Opt’s Sexual Health Educator Certification must complete or be registered for a SAR before applying. Completion of Opt’s SAR workshop fulfills this requirement.\nTopics covered include: fantasy\, masturbation\, LGBTQ+\, non-monogomy\, sex work\, gender\, BDSM\, disability\, and aging.\nActivities involved: using an intensive workshop experience\, participants evaluate their own values\, beliefs\, and attitudes on various sexuality issues.\nOutcomes: by becoming increasingly aware of their perceptions\, beliefs\, values\, and feelings\, participants become comfortable with the wide variation of existing sexual attitudes\, behaviours\, and practices. This comfort is necessary for sexual health professionals\, and is also beneficial for individuals striving for personal growth and the development of healthy personal relationships.\nFull-time attendance to all 3 1/2 days is mandatory!
